Yahoo [ YHOO?15.78? -0.07 (-0.44%) ] - The Internet company is considering hiring News Corp's [ NWSA?22.13? -0.31 (-1.38%) ] Jonathan Miller as its new CEO, according to a report from Reuters. Yahoo is also considering Hulu's Jason Kilar and interim CEO Ross Levinsohn for the position. (Click here for extended-hours quote.)

Broadcom [ BRCM?32.57? -1.12 (-3.32%) ] - The semiconductor company and Emulex [ ELX?6.89? -0.35 (-4.83%) ] announced a partial settlement and worldwide patent agreement. Broadcom shares edged higher in after-hours trading. (Click here for extended-hours quotes.)

Xyratex [ XRTX?12.42? +0.70 (+5.97%) ] - The data storage technology provider reported earnings of 24 cents a share on revenue of $322 million, missing expectations for 29 cents a share on sales of $327 million, but handed in a third-quarter outlook that came in at the higher end of the estimated range.
