CERTIFIED IN HOME WALDORF DAYCARE HAS INFANT/TODDLER

2012-07-16 01.08.35 pm
Our little Waldorf-inspired program has space for toddlers and infants to join our group of amazing friends. We bake, garden, make music, practice yoga, and enjoy nature at least twice a day. Work is our play. Kindness is our guide. We have spots opening up in September. We'd love to meet your precious one.

?We are an eco friendly, state-certified, year-round vegetarian day care with a respect for attachment parenting and a dedication to non-violence and anti-bias in our program. We provide 2 organic snacks per day and practice the principals of attachment parenting.

Newborn babies are beautiful observers and experience the world with all their newly discovered senses. As caregivers, we honor the way in which these precious ones sense their world. We also honor each babies own internal clock and their rhythm.

Daily we hold and wear babies as often as possible, limit any loud noises and music from artificial sources. We sing to the babies, talk with them, listen to them, dance with them, cuddle them and offer them natural materials such as silk, wooden, organic cloth toys and toys from nature.

Crawlers will have space and time to explore before being invited to morning snack followed by yoga with Miss Deanna and the other friends.

Our wobbler and toddler friends have morning circle where we sing and learn about what the day will entail. Rain or shine, we go outside to explore at nearby Irving Park or for a nature walk where may collect treasures for our nature table. Some days we make our own flubber or play dough, make puppets for a puppet show, paint or bake.

Our home is a sweet little bungalow in the lovely Irvington neighborhood. ?We also have a lovely little seasonal garden (teeming with fairies).

Using only green cleaning supplies, low voc paints, natural/organic materials, beautiful and gentle colors we have tried to create a peaceful cottage where babies and young children can feel safe to explore, play, create, and just be in peace and joy.
