what is anxiety & how to prevent it - Fitness Through Fasting - Mental ...

I?m pretty sure I have? Social Anxiety but my parents would never believe me. They tell me to grow up when I tell them I can?t call people on the phone because I almost have a break down.

Oh my god I have been waiting for a video like this , Ellie we love you *especially me*. You are so amazing honestly i?m in tears here it is nice to feel like i am not alone thank you so much it means so much. It hurts when I hyperventilate and get scared and anxious , I can?t even think about school sometimes because of people in there. Ellie you are so strong and sucha role model to young girls like me<3 ?

Some simple yet profound? advice for anx is ?Always show up? because all experiences can be learned from :)

I don?t know if this is? anxiety but I get this feeling when I walk in to school in a morning, I feel like everybody is? staring at me and judging me and I can?t get away from it outside of school either, it happens with strangers as well, is this anxiety ?
same for me and i cant talk to anyone i just get shy and leave!!!!! i nearly commited suicide..

I? hate this feeling. The feeling that everyone hates me. I feel anxious and this video has helped. Helped a lot.

I think I have anxiety (I get worried and my heart races, my breathing increases and I start getting all hot and dizzy. I also get overly-worried if others are judging me) but I?m not sure. I get these feelings whenever I leave the house and? I?m 12, so these feelings come on a lot because of school. I?ve tried telling my parents but they don?t believe me. I?m too afraid to go and seek professional help but at least my friends know. Any advice from others would be helpful.

Your right, I?m not a trained professional (don?t know why you would assume that I wasn?t though..) but my mother is, and has dedicated her entire life to alternative medicine? and yes, of course coming off? meds can cause an adverse reaction, you have to detox your body at your own pace, love & light at you.

Of my friends, they coached me through it and hugged me and I feel a lot better. They helped me? and so did you. Thank you so much! X

I first found out I had anxiety when I was about 12. I used to get easily anxious, scared nervous. I hated to be touched in certain places. I got bullied for 6 years, I couldn?t read very well, I?m tall, I got thing thrown at me and I used to hide. No one would do saying and eventually got anxiety. Hi, I would like to add a slightly older and ?been there? comment: Please don?t get too anxious about being anxious. You know? Yes: for sure, talk to a GOOD physician. But also, you have to know that being 20 in the 21st century is HARD! A million years ago, I took some anthropology course, than led to some interesting reading. A book called the mating mind(?) I think helped me realize the social and sexual pressure on homo sapiens after puberty. ie: knowing you are a tad? *normal* can help.

Take a friend with you to go to the docs if you feel unsure! At least knowing? if you have something or not can help you work on dealing with it <3

I am a student and I get really worked up when I am walking to my exams or when I first had to meet up with a girl I really like, so what I always do when I get anxious is to take a very very deep breath, hold it and tense EVERY SINGLE muscle (that I can :D ) and just hold that position for about 10 seconds. After you do that calm your muscles and slowly let the air go.

Please tell me how you feel? and TRUST ME IT HELPS. :)

I don?t think it?s fair to give mental health advice if you?re not a trained professional. While it?s good to focus on your? ?spiritual? side as part of the healing process, coming off medication quickly without anyone?s knowledge is dangerous and usually causes relapse.

Medicating an illness such as this is just treating? the symptoms, not the entire body/mind/soul as a whole. Imagine you get a cut, you can just put a plaster on it and it will heal.. with anxiety it?s harder, you must cure your entire spirit, detox yourself of meds and begin the healing process, enjoy life, love, and light to you x

I have major anxiety. As you said that people wish they could do things, not that they don?t want to? I haven?t been able to make videos lately. I just have lost my confidence and passion in it? :/ And alot of other stuff. I just don?t even know what? to do anymore .-. I?m not really me anymore?.

I have anxiety my anxiety is that when I am? scared,sad ,mad, and others that I can?t say. but I stared to scratch my self so bad until blood stared to come out of my body. then this happed in 2006[age 5]-2013[age 12] now I went to a doc and it helped a little you are a good person .now I am trying to over come my anxiety one baby step at time. And it is helping me so much.

i was diagnosed with anxiety 5 years ago after a serious car accident. I told no-one about it. All i did was hide away from society living on a virtual world called habbo. I would skip school? scared of everyone. But last year when a teacher patted me on the back when i was crying, i flipped at her because i was anxious of people touching me. I was sent to a mental health facility where my anxiety was cured. But weirdly enough.. only one person helped me..VivaceCresendo3..on my virtual game. ty.

I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety.. Thing is I?ve never known what anxiety is? until now, and now that I know.. I don?t feel like I have it? Although I will cancel going out with friends because I?m scared of things going wrong, Getting nervous, etc, I?d convinced myself I was just being lazy? I?m confused ): but to everyone with anxiety, from all these comments and the video itself, you?re not alone and you can get through it, Stay strong:) <3

Thank you so much, I?ve been waiting for a video like this for ages! You don?t just explain everything amazingly good, also you give hope. And that?s something a person with anxiety will appreciate. Well, at least I have anxiety and appreciate it a lot! ;) I?ve been there for a looong time, and the road to recovery gets difficult a lot of times, and being able to do things can be such a? big deal. Everyone seeing this: I encourage you to talk to someone, it works, it really does. <3

I?ve gotten better over the years and am much more? even-tempered compared to when I was young, but I still struggle with anxiety to an extent. Most of it comes from not understanding people. Be it through social networks, or interpersonal communication.

I have Asperger?s Syndrome, which carries high social anxiety. I?ve had trouble sleeping for years because I?ve always been overly concerned about what tomorrow will bring, what? people think, who I?ll interact with, and losing friends (people I know in person) online. I?ve had anger outbursts yesterday over the later and had thoughts of betrayal and not being able to trust anybody. I talk with the parents, friends, or professionals whenever I encounter such circumstances.

I? have social anxiety :(
